Didn't Mean to Forsake You

I haven't written in while, I know. I decided that I wanted to take the day off yesterday so I called in. And I usually update this blog at work. So Sorry.
And since I have such a huge following out on the internet, I know I must be disappointing all my fans. I have been receiving some mail complaining, so here you go. Ant.

Well, this weekend was the in-law weekend.

Bas's parents came over from Hoalland and hung out with us and their grandson, Ean. Since it rained all weekend, we decided to rent a car so we could go places.
We got a minivan. And let me just say I loves me some minivans. They are so spacious. And this one included a DVD player! Yup, we were ballin' for a weekend in the mini with moms, pops and a little boy. We went to the Children's museum (haaay!) and to the Sea Aquarium in Coney Island. Both were actually quite nice. A good opportunity for the grandparents to see their grandkid in action.
The sea aquarium included a gang of hasidic Jews. Actually a few gangs of them. The curls, the beards, the hats, the balck silky robes and all. One time my friend Trecia was visiting from Florida and she saw a hasidic Jew and said, "Why is that man dressed up like that?" See, we don't have any in Florida, so she was confused.
But it was really nice to see all the fish and sea life at the aquarium. It's been a long time since I've been to one.
In my newest opinion, the most fascinating sea animal is the jellyfish. They had a whole building dedicated to them, called "ALIENS". They are so peaceful and they just chill in the water. Quiet. Floating. Moving every now and then. Not caring if they were upside down or not. Magnificent.

And we end the book of Days of Our Couch with the final chapter. And I must say, it IS a happy ending.......
Bas and I were able to finally complete our couch shopping experience this weekend. Well, at least we ordered one. From a store called Fortunoff.
I always say things happen for a reason and he're a little example to back that up for me:

So we purchased that couch from Jennifer and it didn't fit through the door, right? Then we went back to try to pick out another couch and we didn't like any of the colors they had to offer, you follow? And we didn't jump on ordering the couch that we, eh, kinda liked at the Door Store.

We were driving to the Children's Museum on Saturday and we passed this furniture store. So, on the way back, we decided to stop, just to take a peek. This store (Fortunoff) had 3 different couches that we absolutely LOVED. More than any couch we had seen or purchased before it. And every single one of them would have fit through our narrow little door. So, after sitting on each couch for like an hour and going back and sitting again, we both agreed to get the most comfortable one. Although they were all really comfortable.
And it is a beautiful little thing. It will bring great happiness into our living area.
And to top it all off, it was cheaper than the one we bought at damn Jennifer Leather in the first place. And now we are sooooo happy that Jenny's didn't fit through the door becuae we are infatuated with the new style we got. And the comfort of it is well, unbeatable. And the delivery charge is cheaper.
Unfortunately, they didn't have it in stock, but we only have to wait until the 12th onf November and it'll be at our front door. And through the front door.
In the meantime, we have two perfectly good beach chairs that we relax in.

By the way, I saw David Allen Grier (the comedian, google him if you can't recall) downtown on Sunday afternoon. He was crossing the street with an Asian girl and carrying a shopping bag.

One day, during one of my famine times at work, I'll dedicate a page to all of my NYC celebrity sightings. It is quite a list.

Until then, I am experiencing quite the feast whe it come to my work load today, so I'll end this here.
